There is something about the early morning light after a snowstorm, and the quietness of the empty street.
Today’s snowfall brought the most we’ve had in a single storm (it’s still snowing) so far this snow-starved winter. Maybe not as much as we had the day I shot this photo in 2006, but at least 5 inches.
I never thought that I’d be marveling such a paltry amount (for Chicago), but that’s the kind of season it’s been!
