Dust cloud simulation

It was hypnotic, watching the constantly changing layers of the reddish sands simulating dust storm clouds. Be a science/weather geek: visit the new Science Storms exhibit at the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry!

My favorite kind of tornado: simulated!

Today I played local tourist at the Chicago Museum of Science & Industry. This is part of the new weather exhibit, Science Storms. The tornado simulation was cool, but so too was the modeling of the dust cloud (next post).

Felt like I wandered into a sageuk!

This strapping lad was one of the palace guards at Deoksugung. Didn’t move an eye muscle when I slid his picture on the iPhone surreptiously in his range of view so he could see how cool he looked. (Sure, I was tempting him, but he never cracked!) he could get a job at Buckingham Palace.
